Meanwhile at brunch

So I’m at brunch earlier with 8 women (other than my youngest sister, I don’t know these ladies well). The woman on my right says she’s been reading a lot of memoirs. “Which ones? Can you recommend any in particular?” I asked. And she says she can’t remember any of them. “What’s the point,” I ask her, “of reading when you don’t bother to retain any of what you read?”

    1. I’m reading a memoir…that of a doctor who confronts his own addiction (prescription pills) after getting in trouble with the medical board and the police (writing bad scrips)
