Fucking really?!

Kesha Says She Was Offered “Freedom” if She Apologized for Dr. Luke Assault Lawsuit – Glamourhttps://apple.news/A5Jfq3NvWN6a9DK70uPN_MA

Really, SONY music?  I get that Dr Luke has also worked with Katy Perry, Flo Rida, Kelly Clarkson, and Rihanna (to name a few) and he was once named Billboard’s Top Performing Producers of the 2000s.  He was even nominated for (but didn’t win) a couple of Grammy awards.  His net worth is guess-timated to be about $100 million US dollars.  He’s done well for a guy who started out as lead guitarist for the house band on Saturday Night Live (a band many audiences hear but nobody actually sees).

And if Dr Luke (whose real name is Lukaz Sebastian Gottwald) really is worth that cool hundred million they say he is, he doesn’t have to rape Kesha or anyone else (not that a poor man needs to rape).  He ought to be able to meet a pretty girl and invite her to some music industry party where the famous and beautiful people hobnob.  Or offer her a ride in his fancy car, a tour of his big-ass mansion.

The fact that is Dr Luke can’t attract women with his looks, charm, personality, and/or money OR maybe he’s one of those guys who’s too goddamn lazy to put in the effort and time it takes to actually attract a woman.  He’s decided it’s easier if he just picks out some girl whose career depends upon him (he being the great producer, after all) and hold her down against her will…her wishes are immaterial so long as he gets what he wants.

Well she took all she could & then she told the world that you, Dr Luke, are a goddamn quack.  The sex you provided was everything but healing.  Kesha had enough.  She sued, wanting out of her recording contract, because she doesn’t just want to never have to fuck Dr Luke again, she wants to never have to work with him again.  And we all get that.  If our co-worker raped us, we wouldn’t want to see that person at the office every fucking day either.

Well SONY music apparently doesn’t get it.  They told Kesha she could “have her freedom” if she apologized for saying Dr Luke raped her, if she recants her story about having been raped.

But she won’t do that.  If she does, she gets her career and her life back.  And she also gets to be known as “that lying bitch who falsely accused her record producer of rape”, thus ensuring that no producer will ever want to work with her in future.  Also, if she recants her story about having been raped, Dr Luke gets his career and his life back…people will eventually forget he was ever accused of rape (and anyone who does remember will know it was “that lying bitch who accused him and then took it back”) which means he’ll be free to seek out a new victim.

So I’m glad Kesha refuses to back down.  If SONY thinks rape is something to be swept under the rug, that men who rape deserve any and every protection, then I’m not buying, downloading, listening  to anything that comes from SONY music anymore.  I’m not downloading or watching movies that contain music by artists signed with SONY.

  1. Well said.
Keisha was undoubtedly not the first victim of this type of thing in music, or Dr Luke in particular. She needs to stick to her guns no matter what. Some shit you shouldn’t be allowed to get away with and he deserves NO apology

  2. I’m not trying to start anything, just a question. Is there more evidence than her word that he raped her? Have other women said he has? I’ll look it up too. But maybe u know the answer right away.

I used to believe women right away, but after a personal incident, I saw women do lie about this.

If there is proof, she should be released out of her contract. But if it’s just her word, then I feel Sony doesn’t have to release her.

    1. Well she sued him for sexual assault, harassment, and gender violence (among other things) & that lawsuit went on for a year without any resolution before she sued to be let out of her contract.

I don’t have photos or video of Dr Luke raping Kesha (nor do I claim to be an eyewitness to said rapes). It’s true that women sometimes make false rape accusations. It’s possible that Dr Luke is an innocent man. People who know him (and I don’t know him, I never met him), people who know his true character, they don’t need to wait for the judge to bring the gavel down and make a ruling. If he’s not the kind of guy who would do such a thing, his friends & music industry colleagues would be speaking in support of him. And the world is listening…I don’t hear anyone saying Dr Luke is an upstanding gentlemen who respects women. Do you hear anyone saying that?

      1. I agree that there wouldn’t be a video tape of the rape. I wish she had come forward right after the attack so there could be evidence.

I do feel if Sony knew this was true, they would let her go and be hush hush about it. But you make a valid point.. Others should come out on his side if he’s not that kind of guy. Saying that, sometimes people do not want to get involved especially in this sort of case. Any man that says anything positive and Dr. Luke could be labeled poorly. And if a woman defends him, they can get a bad reputation .

It’s a sticky situation. I do not know which side to believe.

      2. Well she claims he abused her (sexually and emotionally) over a period of ten years, beginning when she was eighteen. I think what happened is she took it until she couldn’t take it anymore.
