OK, so first Russell Crowe said that there are plenty of roles for women of a certain age, if only said women would face the fact that they’re not 22 anymore & accept it. Then Jude Law said that no, there actually aren’t so many roles for women of a certain age, but there are many exciting roles for MEN of a certain age.
Russell Crowe may style his hair in a ponytail (up, and away from the face) and Jude Law might have such a pretty face, but these two are men, not ladies. They don’t write, direct, or star in roles for women (unless either of them appeared in drag and I missed it) so why are they talking about roles for women as if they know so goddamn much about it? If I really want to know about roles for women, I might ask Kim Cattrall, an actress over fifty, or Penny Marshall, a female director…I most assuredly wouldn’t ask two men.
